Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using FindRooms to ensure the platform remains safe, trustworthy, and useful for every member of our community.

Content Standards

All room listings must be truthful and accurate at the time of posting. Photos must be real, current photos of the actual room being advertised, not stock or digitally altered photos. Pricing must reflect the true monthly rent with no hidden fees added after contact. Descriptions and all public or private messages must use respectful, professional language.

Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on FindRooms: posting fake or duplicate listings across multiple accounts; any advance-payment scam or impersonating a property owner you are not; discrimination based on nationality, religion, or gender except where legal gender preference applies to shared accommodation under UAE law; adult content, adult services, or escort advertisements; any illegal activity including unlicensed subletting where prohibited by your tenancy contract; spam or unsolicited commercial marketing to other users; sharing another user's personal information, phone number, or address without their explicit written consent; automated scraping, crawling, or bot activity on our listings or any other part of the platform.

Prohibited Uses

You may not resell, license, or commercially exploit FindRooms data without our written agreement. Competing platforms may not scrape our listings. Bulk WhatsApp messaging or cold outreach using contact information obtained from FindRooms listings is prohibited and may be reported to WhatsApp.

Enforcement

Enforcement follows a graduated approach. First violation: written warning plus immediate removal of the violating content. Second violation: 30-day account suspension. Serious or repeated violations such as scams, hate speech, or illegal activity result in immediate permanent account ban and, where appropriate, referral to relevant UAE authorities.

Reporting Violations

You can report any violation using the 'Report this listing' button on every listing detail page, or by emailing our trust and safety team at support@findrooms.ae. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Appeals

Suspended or banned users may appeal the decision within 30 calendar days by emailing support@findrooms.ae with details and relevant context. Appeals are reviewed independently and we respond with our final decision within 10 business days.
